Aviator glasses were developed by Ray Ban in 1937 to replicate the flying goggles they were already selling to the Army and Navy. Even after the goggles were replaced the sunglasses were still popular with the forces and were even more popularised by the film Top Gun.Ray Ban are celebrating 70 years at the top of the sunglasses industry by re-issuing thier famous Aviator frames.
